About

Compliance software, built like it matters. Because it does.

Money laundering is not a paperwork problem. It is how corruption, trafficking, fraud and organised crime keep their profits — an estimated hundreds of billions of euros washed through the European economy every year, much of it through ordinary transactions handled by ordinary professionals: a property deal, a company formation, an estate settlement.

Europe's answer is to make tens of thousands of small offices the gatekeepers. We think that's right — and we think it's unreasonable to expect a three-person notarial study to operate like a bank's compliance department. The result today is the worst of both worlds: enormous effort, fragile protection, and honest professionals living in fear of inspection day while the actual launderers route around the gaps.

Sceau exists to close that gap. We build the machinery — the data feeds, the screening, the registers, the deadlines, the evidence — so the gatekeepers can do the one thing software never should: exercise judgment. Every office that runs on Sceau is a harder target for dirty money. That is the better world we're working toward, one unglamorous compliance file at a time.

Sceau is the French word for seal. We chose it because compliance should end in something you can prove: evidence sealed into a tamper-evident ledger, decisions sealed to named people, and a file you can stand behind on inspection day.

What we hold ourselves to

Automation with accountability

The platform does the work; named humans make the calls the law assigns to humans. Four-eyes on what matters, a tamper-evident ledger under everything. We will never sell a rubber stamp.

Honest by construction

Where data requires credentials or a legal gateway, the product says so. Where AI helped, the output says so. Where we don't cover something yet, we tell you. Trust is the product; pretending is fatal to it.

European, deliberately

EU-sovereign hosting, EU jurisdiction, all 24 official languages, all 27 member states. Compliance with European law should not depend on infrastructure outside European law.

AI that knows its place

AI reads, summarises, explains — brilliantly. It does not score, decide, or write facts to the record. That boundary is enforced in code, not in a policy PDF.

The company

Sceau is built and operated by Galactic Automation BV, an independent Belgian software company specialised in regulated-industry automation. We are engineers and compliance practitioners who believe boring infrastructure, done excellently, changes what's possible for the people who use it.
